Data Deletion Requests

Users may request deletion of their account and personal data from DIYer.

Deletion does not necessarily mean every post, project, comment, or interaction disappears if it can be retained in anonymized form for platform integrity, safety, or legal compliance.

What Happens When You Request Deletion

Some posts, comments, likes, saves, shares, and similar activity may remain in anonymized or de-identified form where that is necessary to preserve conversations, legal records, or platform operation.

When retained, identifying account information may be removed and replaced with a generic label such as Deleted User.

Your account is deleted
Personal information is removed from active systems
Access to the platform is revoked
Your profile should no longer appear as an active account in discovery surfaces

Confirm that you want your data deleted

Processing Time

Deletion requests are typically processed within 30 days.
